Portfolio Commentary

Choppy start to the quarter, highlighted by the sharp move in interest rates and plunge in gold. We underperformed the broader market mainly driven by TWTR’s devastating move. That said we are confident our well diversified portfolios will be back on track. We added another REIT in HCN to continue positioning for potential relief rally in bonds and REITs. Our signal also recommended several momentum longs in GOOGL and TDG.

Chart in Focus

HCN  –  Short-Term Long

Target: 73.84

Entry Point(s): 69.54

Comments:  Decimated like broader REIT sector to start the quarter, and plunged right to bottom of descending trendline and turning oversold. An oversold rally to 20DMA likely probable given rates stabilize here.

FXY  – Medium-Term Short

Target: 90

Entry Point(s): 94.5, 95

Comments: As covered previously, Yen confirmed bearish breakdown and rallies should be sold into, and one way to do that in the stock market is shorting the FXY
