ETFs In the Highlights : EWY, EWT, EWZ, IBB

Emerging markets (EEM) have been on a tear since the China Yuan panic lows early 2016. But even within emerging markets, there is plenty of dispersion with number of markets outperforming. Notably, South Korea (EWY), Taiwan (EWT), Brazil (EWZ), which we are long in our Model Quant ETF Portfolio. Here are quick look at the technical picture from weekly chart:

Meanwhile, Biotech (IBB) has been slowly on the mend after a 40% correction off the all tie highs, finding support and bouncing everytime off the 200 week moving average. But what looms ahead about 2% away will be solid resistance from a large H&S neckline as well as 50-week moving average which proved to be the ceiling late 2015. That said, technicals are improving and it’s on our watchlist.
